Gaza and the BBC
The decline of the BBC continues.
BBC reporting of the War against Gaza was a disaster; the reporters stood at the border and tried to interpret clouds of smoke. If not doing that they were obsequiously interviewing members of the Israeli government.
Now they refuse a humanitarian appeal from the Disasters Emergency Committee: acceptance would impair their impartiality!
So the Gazans who have so suffered have not really suffered because their suffering was politically motivated.
The logic is worthy of Israel!
What a surprise that the chair of the BBC Trust is a Jewish supporter of Israel!
So we have death and destruction in Gaza, and the death of a once proud institution.

Words fail me
I am not normally reduced to silence; but the Israeli assault upon Gaza takes my breath away.
Proportionality is obviously not a Hebrew word; and the Hebrew for defence must mean attack.
Poor little Israel with its enormous fire-power and its desire to kill at a proportion of 100 to 1.
Every victim must, of course, be a militant; and of course only Israel is allowed to resist.
Bush supports Israel world without end; Brown is not much better.
No use using soft talk when you speak to Israelis; indicate that they are terrorists on the grandest of scales ever since they occupied Palestine in 1948.
Vicious, murdering thugs whose motivation is always peaceable!
Nemesis will inevitably come.
