Blair and Bush (and the EU) are obsessed with the policy of the Palestinian Government (Hamas) not to recognise Israel.

They conveniently (for Israel) omit to mention that the recognition of Israel after Oslo resulted in years without any negotiations; the building of even more settlements; and the destruction of the HQ of the Palestinian Authority.

They also ignore the non-recognition policies of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and many other countries: a non-recognition which certainly does not lead to the cessation of all contacts.

Bush may not understand this anomaly; Blair does.

Today I listened to Lord Stevens summarising his enormous report concerning the death of Diana, Princess of Wales.

I have no great interest concerning the many conspiracy theories which exist concerng the accident in Paris.

However, I noted with interest the claim of Lord Stevens that MI5 and MI6 had provided him with access to all the information that they possessed concerning the princess and her death.

How could he know that they had provided him all the data they possess?

It is alarming when investigators forget that the British secret Service is indeed secret!
