Dark Epiphany
Epiphany is a season of light; but we are still very much aware of the apparent cosmic darkness which manifest itself in the Tsunami.
I feel that it is too early to theologise concerning nature and its relationship with humankind (and with God); however, something can be said, although our words have to be few. Frank Griswold, Presiding Bishop, of the Episcopal Church of the United States writes briefly but cogently.
His words are always worth hearing.

God's Engine Room
We belong to a culture of sound-bites. Often this is no cause for concern if the person who is subjected to this treatment has nothing worth saying, and the sound-bite has been carefully incorporated in the verbiage.
However, Dr. Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury always has something to say which does is not easily summarised in a superficial way. His sermon at Canterbury Cathedral for Christmas 2005 did in fact deal with God's Engine Room!
